Two cheques totalling almost £15,000 have been presented to the Museum from the Co-op’s Community Fund.

The Museum expansion was one of two charities chosen to benefit over the last 12 months from customers using their membership cards in store. Once customers sign up to support the Museum the Co-op gives 1% of what they spend on Co-op branded food products in our stores and selected services, as well as money raised from sales of carrier bags.

While the majority of the money came from members using the New Bradwell and Great Linford stores, as well as Co-op Funeral Services in Wolverton, the Museum is grateful to all Co-op customers throughout MK who chose it as their benefitting charity.

A special Community Fund Celebration Day held in the Great Linford store allowed the Museum to talk to shoppers about how their contributions are being spent on the twp new galleries that will allow us to tell the whole story of Milton Keynes.
