Maybe your talents lie within an office environment. We need volunteers to work in our administration team answering the ‘phone, placing orders, taking bookings, filing and much more.    


Key to the elements of the role

  • Skilled use of a computer
  • Organise and update paperwork
  • Communicate with a wide range of people
  • Maintain Health and Safety



At the Milton Keynes Museum we understand that people only have a limited amount of free time. Therefore any commitment, you can make will be gratefully received.


The Administration team usually works Monday to Friday and the occasional weekend.


What we are looking for

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in talking with visitors
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Common sense
  • Attention to detail
  • An interest in the museum and its ongoing story
  • Works well under pressure
  • Team worker
  • Computer literate

Training and induction

  • Full induction to the site and history
  • Shadowing other volunteers
  • Ongoing training will be provided as and when necessary
