There’s loads to do in the schoolroom – including joining a lesson, or running your own!

Sit down at a desk and try writing on a slate as Victorian children used to do; find out how schoolteachers used finger stocks, back boards and the dreaded cane to keep order in the classroom;  ring the school bell; and compare the schoolbooks of yesterday’s students with school today.
