Lawnmower Day, 21 May 2017

Man Driving an old sit on LawnmowerEnjoy a close shave and the delightful smell of clipped grass when The Old Lawnmower Club holds its annual rally at the museum.

The club promotes the collection, preservation and display of lawn mowers made from 1830 onwards.

Usually there is a great selection of mowers on show, ranging in age from the 1830s through to some relatively modern machines from the 1980s. This is a great day to see some fascinating old machinery on display and in action.
